They thought that fighting would solve all their problems. They wanted a change but they were not heard. It was a fight between the proletariat and the state, between the landowners and the capitalists in the city. This group of terrorists wanted to replace what it was seen as bourgeois democracy with a â€Å"new democracy†. The Shining Path wanted to impose a dictatorship of the proletariat, lead a cultural revolution, and eventually introduce communism and have the complete control of the government. Before he was captured, Abimael Guzman wanted to get the whole power of the Peruvian government. He used violence to achieve his goals. He attacked the Peruvian Armed Forces and the National Police. Guzman placed diverse bombs in schools, houses, streets and popular places. Many people died, and families were devastated with their loss. It was a time of mourning. Every day was a new wake, and every day more people lost faith. Many families, who lived in such a devastating period of time, blamed Abimael Guzman for all their misfortunes. Wished him the worst, and wanted to put him in jail. At the end, Guzman was captured; people were safer but still felt a grudge towards him. But it is necessary to forgive and wish him the best. Everybody makes mistakes, some of them are big or small, but mistakes are made to learn from them and become a better person. Generally, forgiveness is a decision to let go the resentment and thoughts of revenge. Many people may think: Why is it important to forgive a man who hurt so many families? Forgiveness can lead to feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion for the one who hurt you. It doesn’t mean that you deny the other person’s responsibility for hurting you, and it doesn’t minimize or justify the wrong of his action. Forgiveness brings peace that helps you go on with life. Abolitionism After joining the abolitionist movement, Truth became a popular circuit speaker. She made her first antislavery speech in 1845 in New York City. The commune failed in 1846, and she bought a house on Park Street in New York.  She dictated her autobiography to womens rights activist Olive Gilbert and published it in Boston in 1850.  Truth used the income from the book,  The Narrative of Sojourner Truth, to pay off her mortgage. If we use dc the over voltage relay will be more sensitive than if we use ac because in case when we use ac the relay not picking up the current that flows normally through capacitance to ground and also care should be taken to avoid resonance between capacitance and inductance. The power system survives only if we drop the load so that the generator output becomes equal or greater than the connected load. If the load increases the generation, then frequency will drop and load need to shed down to create the balance between the generator and the connected load. The rate at which frequency drops depend on the time, amount of overload, on the load and generator variations as the frequency changes. Frequency decay occurs within the seconds so we can not correct it manually. Therefore automatic load shedding facility needs to be applied. These schemes drops load in steps as the frequency decays. Generally load shedding drops 20 to 50% of load in four to six frequency steps. Load shedding scheme works by tripping the substation feeders to decrease the system load. Generally automatic load shedding schemes are designed to maintain the balance between the load connected and the generator. The present practice is to use the under frequency relays at various load points so as to drop the load in steps until the declined frequency return to normal. If we could choose one thing to change the world, one way we thought we could fix all the world s problems, what would it be? This is the thought of the movie Pay it Forward. This movie tackles what a small child s (Trevor) idea of changing the world could be from his point of view. The movie also tackles themes of alcoholism, bullying, and insecurity. Pay it Forward starts in a very interesting way; a news reporter’s car is wrecked, and a man gives him a brand new car, saying simply call it a favor between two strangers and pay it forward. This idea then proceeds throughout the story as the reporter traces the origins back to Trevor(Haley Osment) and the origin of the pay it forward mindset. It is an assignment given by his teacher, Mr. Eugene (Kevin Spacey) for each child in the room to find a way to change the world. Throughout the movie, this theme is elaborated on, and in many cases, it seems to backfire, only to work out for the better of the film. The acting in this film is phenomenal. Kevin Spacey gives an inspiring performance, while Haley Osment provides the innocent kid that is neglected but has a great idea to perfection. Arlene (Helen Hunt) could have done a better job of seeming more into the role at sometimes she seemed detached to me and that would have made it all around amazing acting wise. Description As a Sociology major, I am learning to understand both broad and narrow social phenomena, concerns and problems, and in doing so, they integrate the findings of other social science disciplines. One of the many social phenomena’s I have been interested in during my time at Kingston University is discussing sex and gender. Primarily, Judith Butlers ‘performativity’ explains how ‘females’ and ‘males’ gendered roles are performed naturally through a routinely stylized behavior and how gender exist only because it is being acted out and performed. Furthermore, Simone de Beauvoir’s, The Second Sex hugely became an influential book during the second wave feminism, which involved sexuality, family, workplace, reproductive rights, etc. In her book, women are perceived as the â€Å"other,† as a default sex.
